Black Diamond Equipment Momentum AL Climbing Harness

This is a great harness. I have only done a couple of indoor climbs but I feel it would work great outdoors too. Very comfortable, and very adjustable. I usually wear 34 waist pants and the X-large fits. Barely but it fits. The price was too good to pass up so I was going to give to my brother but when I got it and realized it fit me, I'm hanging on to it.

Easy to put on and adjust. Has enough gear loops for sport climbs. Well thought out and executed.

I feel like this harness offers sufficient protection.

FYI, This harness is Black Diamonds first version of the Momentum AL harness. This version has since been discontinued and was replaced with the current harness you will see in your local store. The easiest way to note the difference is by looking at the gear loops. The first version used a grey plastic/rubber type loop and the updated version uses a cording with clear plastic sheath around it. I have two of the current versions and purchased two of these discontinued versions as a backup. They are different and that is why this is such a low price, it's discontinued. The design is different, gear loops are different and these XL harnesses are SMALLER than the current XL harnesses you will see in the store. The updated version is a bit better in my opinion but at this price, it's not bad and can over look these differences, especially since it wont be my primary harness.

We're using this for safety while doing arbor work (cutting limbs, etc.). Exactly what we needed.

This harness is exactly what I expected it to be. Perfect for those that want to lead climb. Very durable!

I attended a certification class to learn correctly how to climb steep roofs for my profession. In the class we were shown several different types of climbing harnesses, the Black Diamond brand being one of them. I found this brand the simplest to get in and out of, so I priced them at an outdoors shop here locally. Then I went on line and found Sierra Trading Post selling this item for 1/2 price-[...], than our local store sold the same product for. If you can wait the week to get it, it is definitely worth it.
