Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Reviewed by ISki2 from Colorado on Sunday, February 23, 2014These gloves are very well constructed - high quality.
I wore these gloves several times skiing, and really liked them. However, the temperatures were always in the high 20's or low 30's so I did not feel like I really put them to the test of ".... fending off harsh weather" or keeping my hands "toasty" as stated.
These gloves came with tags that rated them for temperatures between -15 to 15 degrees.
Today it was 20-22 degrees when I went skiing. So, I really expected these gloves to keep my hands nice and warm. However, the tips of my fingers were cold off and on while I skied blue and black runs. The only time my fingers warmed up was when I worked up a sweat skiing double black bump runs - but that will warm up anyone's hands.
Also, I have 2 small design complaints: 1) the drawstring always flips inside the glove. So, I always have grab onto it to get it out of the way so I can get my hands in the gloves 2) The outside cuff could have been 1/4" - 1/2" wider. I wear my gloves over my ski jacket, and there is barely enough cuff on the gloves to fit over my jacket sleeve. (This has not been a problem with any of my other gloves.) Therefore, the glove cuff is such a tight fit, there is no need for a drawstring to tighten the cuff.
Overall these are nice gloves, but if you are expecting them to keep your hands warm in cold weather, make sure you bring along some hand warmers (chemical heat packs) that's the only way your hands will be "toasty".
