Axe is a good size and light. I haven't put it to an extreme test yet (hence the 4 stars), but it worked well on the short climbs and glissades in the backyard.

I haven't had a chance to use my new BD Raven Pro buti am VERY happy about the weight. Compared to technical tool this axe weighs nothing but still seems tough enough to use for steep snow and maybe I little ice. I am excited to try it out!

STP offered a great price which I never expected to see on a great product like this. Needed a new, light ice axe for some climbs with our meetup group:[@]This axe worked out perfectly on this climb up Cisco Butte in powder and packed powder and ice conditions. I'm 5'10" and found even the 75 cm to be comfortable to use. Can also use it along with a treking pole while snowshoeing.
