I bought these for an AT set-up to ski in Utah, but mostly spent time in the resort this year. This was my first year regularly skiing lift-serve, which I did to improve my skills for the backcountry (maybe next year). As a long-time nordic skier but new alpine skier, I found these skis wonderful for their lightweight qualities. I'm 5'3", 130 lbs and ski on the 156, which worked well for me as an advanced beginner.

It is also true that these skis are not kind to those who like to ski in the back seat. As a new alpine skier, the tendency of the non-rockered tails to slap me around if I leaned back too much served as reinforcement to help get my weight forward.

I skied these on groomers, crud, bits of ice (a bit chattery yes, but they're lightweight and so am I), corn, and powder. Yes, they do float nicely in powder! Happy to have them be my quiver of one, and I now go on black diamond slopes as well as equipment!
