    You can pay more but you won't get more. These poles from BD are a great value; light and strong. . I use them mostly for alpine adventures.

    The adjusting lever on the upper section will not close if the section is collapsed completely. Hard to operate with gloves on. Barehanded it is very easy to open and collapse.

    The simple to use flip-lock adjust mechanism is sooooo much better than the other twist lock brands (Komperdell etc.) Great poles for serious trail hogs.
