Black Diamond Sportswear Cheryl Jacket - Soft Shell (For Women)

I wasn't sure about a black jacket but was pleasantly surprised with how well the reflective piping shows up in the dark as I often can't get my walk in till then. I have another Black Diamond jacket that I love. This one is a bit more fitted but of the same high quality.

Got this for X-C Skiing. Very comfortable and windproof but does not breathe at all!

I'm short, but this jacket didn't feel too long. Very light and warm, but not too hot for activity. Very windproof and water resistant.

When I first opened the package, the jacket looked way too small but actually fit perfect. It's very comfortable and great for cool days. I have broad shoulders but the jacket seems to fit with no real problems.

This jacket delivered exactly what I expected: a lightweight but durable, windproof and water resistent soft shell that can pack well(it is not a "fleece jacket" and not described as one). It does have a soft, warm fleece lining on the inside. I used it for hiking in the mountains during late spring through early fall and plan on using for casual wear during the fall. It wears well- still looks like new after a season. Went through light snow, rain, and hail and kept me toasty with good breathability.

I use softshells as my every day jackets, walking the dog, working in the yard, as well as for camping and especially traveling as they pack light and small. This is a very lightweight shell, but that's just how it was described.

Sleeves a little long and the size is definitely more of the 16 than the 18. Runs small for a 1x, but for us plus size girls any plus version is great. Not enough out there for us. Order keeping this in mind and you will be happy.

Jacket has good shape, stylish with the white trim, and is warm. The deep rose color was perfect. Wish it had fit me.

This jacket is really well designed. I have looked at others, but this one is shaped well and yet does not have lots of extra seams (some jackets use multiple seams to shape the arms, which end up rubbing and annoying me). Soft microfleece lining in the entire jacket (bonded to the shell), and the lining wraps around the top of the zipper to prevent it from rubbing on your neck. There are two zippered pockets on the outside and the lining is used to make two pouch pockets on the inside. Flattering cut is a little longer in the back, and cut in at the waist and slightly flared over the hips. Shoulders, back, waist, hips all fit true to size. Sleeves are a bit long on me, but most sleeves are. The rose color is rather bright but attractive, on the purplish side of red. Five stars to Black Diamond for a great design and quality.
