    The waistband is elastic directly on the skin. A year ago when I ordered the same product I wore a medium womens and still have them and love them. And the waistband was totally different with the elastic inside and the sizing was totally different. This year when I ordered them I could barely get into a men's large. It seems like a cheaper version but it's marketed as the same product.

    These really are fleece "tights" that run small in the waist and a little long in the length. I ordered up a size, so the waist fits and the extra length is not a big issue with the tight fit. I like to use these as a warm base or mid layer.

    Awesome for cold-weather outings, and just lounging about the house. These tights are not very windproof, making them tough to use as a single layer, but under a pair of wind pants, or as a warm base-layer, they are awesome. The fit-issue is exactly as described - and it is the only reason I give them a 4 of 5 stars.

    WARNING. I have a 36 inch waist, size large on chart. I had to return twice [...] and get the XXL for the 46 inch waist!!! Trust me, these are for SKINNY people. I am 5'8,200lbs, an athlete and marathon runner, and these are choking my calves and quads... Don't even attempt to buy. NOT a knock on Sierra, but this is a poor, poor, product.

    The fit on these is bad. I bought a large even though I am a medium. The fit was just bad though. The waist was tight and the legs were loose. I would have returned them but it was just too much of a hassle for the price. So these will stay in the closet and get used for something at some point

    Haven't used enough to comment on the durability of them but haven't had any problems with them so far and seem to be holding up. Main use for me is cycling w/base layer underneath and can usually get in 60-75 min in 20 to 30 degree before I start to feel the chill.
