Black Diamond Sportswear Tera Jacket - Microfleece (For Women)

I am a little surprised by the comments of how thin the product is. It states in the description that it is "ultra-light," and it is microfleece, which implies lightness. That was one of the reasons i purchased it. I wanted a thinner, warm mid layer for running, but one that could also be a light, warm outerlayer as the weather warms up. I also think it would be amazing for travel since it is light and folds really well. The fabric is super soft, and actually seems to attract less pet hair and pill less than some heavier fleece I own. I cannot yet comment on durability, except that the seams seem to be sturdy and finished. I ordered watermelon, which is actually called geranium when it is in the package. It is more orange-y than pink toned, just FYI. For the expectation that I was ordering a lighter, thinner fleece and the price I am not disappointed.

This is a very attractive fleece, but the arms and the body were too short for me. I could not raise my arms without having my stomach showing. A larger size may have solved that problem, but the fleece fit great other than the overall length. It's a good buy unless you have a long torso like I do.

For the price, I suppose you can't go wrong, but the jacket is very thin. The pockets don't have zippers (which I like so that I can put my keys, chapstick and tissues in the pocket when out running). But the cut of the jacket is flattering, the colors sharp and the overall look is nice. Not too warm though.

My favorite thing about Sierra Trading Post is that I can order items just to see what they're like, and then return them if they're not what I had in mind. This jacket went right back in the box after I tried it on. It's [$] for a reason: the fabric is not microfleece, but rather some cheap flimsy knockoff fleece. No windstopping power; you can practically see daylight through it. If you like fleece jackets but sit in an office all day, this jacket might be what you're looking for. If you ever go outside when the temperature is under 50, though, skip this one.
