“This is a fair leech pattern that takes a lot of patience to fish. The gold bead is too small and the fly sinks way too slowly. The construction is a little thin and needs a bit more material. I do catch fish on this fly under the right conditions. Forget it on a windy day unless you add plenty of split shot. This fly is probably more useful as a damsel nymph than a leech. I do like the pattern and it has a nice sparkle.”
