Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Just skied the 2008-09 Answer in about 12-15" of new, somewhat heavy spring snow in Mammoth. The defining word for this ski is STABILITY. It blasts through crud and tracked out snow with ease. It doesn't have the lively, quick turning feel of the Volkl Mantra, but the float is good, and it will turn quickly when you need it to. I was very impressed with the edge grip when I hit scoured icy patches, and it did very well on groomers, better than the Mantra or the 4frnt VCT, in fact. Great all-mountain/powder ski if you like a smooth, solid feeling ride. Perfect Mammoth/Tahoe ski for the heavy, inconsistent snow we often get. Because this ski has been changed considerably for 2010, it is very difficult/impossible to get parts such as the telemark adapter for the IQ system, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars.
