I originally ordered these boots in my normal size, and they were WAY too small! I exchanged them for one whole size larger, and they now fit well. I had thought it was perhaps the shearling inside that made the boot fit tighter, but in measuring these with my other boots, I found that the outside dimension is the same.
As for the other attributes mentioned by others, the tongue is definitely not leather. It is very supple. This could be a good thing, as it allows a little more flexibility of the foot than if it were. The toe box is also definitely larger than most, but I like this because it will allow me to wear heavier wool socks when the weather gets cold. I am not so concerned about fashion--I bought these boots for functioning in very cold weather.

I love the Blondo brand and have faithfully worn various versions of the their boots for over 30 years. They're usually my "go to" boots that I can always count on to be foolproof. They fit and last extremely well, in addition to reliably providing a very comfortable level of warmth, inside or out. They do run small so I always order at least 1/2 a size up and did with this boot, too. When I ordered a pair of these Tendras to replace another pair of Blondo's I'd worn for about 7 years, I expected to be totally happy with them. They didn't feel quite as comfy as my other ones had out of the box - a bit snug across the lower arch of my foot - but I figured they'd loosen up so I wore them for a day of running errands. The tongue on both boots kept shifting sideways for some reason, but on one boot in particular kept wrapping around my ankle...kind of annoying. I'd have to stop, unlace, re-position, re-tie...oy. That in itself was making me reconsider this purchase. Later in the day when I went to re-position the more wayward tongue again, with the same gentle tug I'd use on any shoe, it came completely off in my hand! My first thought was, "Why on earth would they have a detachable tongue?!" Well...they don't. The place where the tongue, which appears to be synthetic instead of leather, attached to the body of the shoe was so incredibly tightly stitched that it totally compromised the integrity of the rather weak material of the tongue, in essence, perforating it to the point it was basically "cut". The wayward tongue was probably detaching as I wore it for the first time, thus the "wrapping". This may have been a sewing defect unique to this particular pair but the cheaper tongue is something I've not seen on a pair of Blondo's before, so this may be a factor for others, too. The quality, otherwise, seems consistent with what I'd expect of Blondo. Sierra Trading Post was great about taking this pair back as defective, which was appreciated. Still looking for a perfect replacement.

I ordered the boots hoping for a pair of stylish boots. My first impression, when I put them on, was.... they do not look good, the boots make your foot look.... round? The toebox is weird shape, as if the average foot was round (or extra wide). The second thing I noticed..was that the part of the boot that is under the laces was.... fake leather. This part gets used and abused by constantly moving laces, it should be made of sturdy material, not fake leather... Sorry, these boots are going back..

I think this was a good choice and just what I was searching for. The boots are comfortable, warm and not bulky on my foot. Also, they are treated with a water resistant. The leather and lining is very soft.
