I figured after reading reviews here and elsewhere that I had a 75% chance these boots would fit my rather large calves. I decided to take the chance, and ordered them (I actually ended up with a great deal with coupons, etc.) and when they arrived, I thought they might just work. Well, I am wearing them now. They are a little tight, but I'm pretty confident they will stretch. They are not going to be boots wide enough for me to tuck in my pants or anything, but I bought them to wear under skirts in the winter, so they will work very well for that. I usually wear a size 9W. Based on the reviews, I ordered a size 10WW. I wouldn't even want to attempt to force my foot in a regular width of this shoe. WW is perfect for me; I'm sure W would have been too narrow. I like the color (I bought the brown) and they are dark brown enough to wear with black, too. Very nice. I am extremely pleased to have found a pair of tall boots that actually fit.

I bought these for my co-worker who has very wide feet (she ordered the WW) - she is so happy with them that she wears them very often. She said that she has never been able to find boots that are so comfortable and accommodate her feet so well. A very happy customer!

I ordered these boots because I had problems finding wide calf boots that were actually wide calf (especially wide calf and small foot). Most that I'd ordered previously, despite describing themselves as wide calf, were still too small for me to even zip all the way up. WELL, these are indeed wide calf. In fact, they were TOO wide. My husband commented on how they looked like galoshes on me. It was silly, and I returned them the next day. Looked like nice leather, though. Pretty color.

This boot indeed is wide calf. Thought I would need extra wide but wide is ok. I can even tuck in pants. Shoe part is not that wide but was ok for me because im a wide calf and not necessarily that wide of a foot. Boot is well made.

These boots are wonderful for someone with wide calves. Unfortunately, that someone is not me.

I had to send these back, the calf was so wide it felt like it was flapping on my legs. I have large calves and struggle to find boots so this was surprising. The boot felt narrow thru the foot.

Did not fit well at all. Had to be returned.

Bought these for my young adult daughter....11w is NOT an easy find! She loves these boots....They've hardly been off her feet since she received them for Christmas!

Love these boots. The heal is just the right height and stable for walking. The leather is soft and supple. The calf is roomy but not sloppy.

I bought these for a trip to Boston over the holidays,mand knew I would be dressing up more than my usual suede fur lined boots would allow. I love boots made in Canada, and have generally found them warm and well-made. I was dubious about the partial side zippers, but they are actually good at tugging down pant bottoms I usually just stuff inside. It also makes them easy to remove. I was also dubious about the wedge, as I wanted a dressier boot. But the wedge is well shaped, and gives off a sleek appearance, while is more comfortable than a higher heel. They were a bit large, and my feet slipped to the front of the boot until I put orthotic insoles in, and that seemed to do the trick. I had extra room so that they weren't pinching, but allowed me to stand for at least 4 hours without pain at a holiday party. I usually get boots a bit large, wanting the comfort; but if you want a closer fit, order your actual size. They are also quite generous in the calf, which also has an elastic gusset. With just tights, it was a little too wide, but worked well if you plan to wear over jeans or pants. I also can add boot cuffs to take up the extra space in the top. The slouch effect adds to the interest, and it all seems to work well together as a good style for either casual or dress wear. The sole has a good enough grip that I hope they won't slip on snow or ice, but have not worn them on that surface yet. They seemed warm enough, but I didn't spend a lot of time outside with them; but given the generous sizing and calf, can wear with thick socks. I don't know if they are waterproof, as it did not snow or rain when we were there.
