Blue Willi's Cotton Shirt - Short Sleeve (For Women)

Took a chance given comments about fit. But it is lovely, fits well, a little retro in style. Love it for casual or slightly dressy wear.

The shirt fits me almost perfectly, although it feels a liitle tight. I love the color and style. I wore twice already, having bought it only a week or so.

More frilly than I thought from the picture (more fitted, more darts), but a very fun pattern and cut. Fits well for small chested women. Combination of traditional or old fashioned fit with fresh pattern makes it versatile, I wear it to work and social occasions and works with various colors. Looks delicate but has held up well through washings, does not need ironing. The fitted aspect wouldn't be for everyone, but it's an awesome, fun, different find for me.

I purchased this shirt after the warm weather of last fall, so I haven't yet worn it, except to try it on. I like the fabric, the color and the fit and look forward to warm weather to wear it!

It's too small! It is not a normal XL fit. That is it!!!!!!!!

Long enough to use with low rise pants. Blouse is nicely shaped at the waist and flattering. Color a little odd but matches khaki/tan/brown. Lightweight fabric but not sheer. Can wear in all but coldest weather.

This has a definite '40s fit and style. The bodice is darted around the rib cage and the sleeves are "darted" to make the lower part fit snugly around the arm, creating a very slight upper puffed effect. Like any item, the fit is going to be different on all bodies. I generally wear a small knit top, but need a medium blouse because I'm a size 8 on top. But, my problem with this shirt, which I didn't realize until I actually tried to wear it longer than a quick "try on", is the fitted sleeves. Like so many middle aged women, my upper arms are larger than I want them to be and all the bar bells in the world won't tighten up the formerly tight muscles. I'm also a bit overweight at the moment, so I repackaged it and put it away since I'm losing the weight and am convinced just the weight loss will allow the sleeves to fit properly. I can't wear it at the moment because the sleeves ride up with movement and they all but cut off my circulation. I own a large %age of the BW items sold by STP. The pants run small and I have to buy a size (sometimes 2) larger than I wear in any other brand and the sleeve holes tend to be too small while fitting through the chest. I've got 3 sleeveless tops and they are also on hold, still packaged, hoping that the further weight loss makes them wearable by next summer. They were too tight under the arm to wear this summer, but I didn't want to send them back. STPs generous return policy allows me to keep them in storage to see if they fit properly next spring. They are NOT too tight across the chest. I don't have this problem with either an 8 or a medium in any other brand. A large would have "floated" on me every where else, so that is not a solution nor do I want to buy clothes for a body that is losing weight. But, other middle aged women should be warned that these sleeves are severely "fitted", not loose, and feel warned unless their upper arms are the same size as they were in their 30s. It's a lovely crisp fabric and the design is darling. Fitting into my BW collection is a huge incentive to continue to lose this weight.

Very attractive light aqua print, nice quality woven cotton, hint of 40's style. Size up 1 size for fit - as with other Blue Willis shirts.
