Blue Willi's Linen Jacket with Hidden Buttons (For Women)

This might be the right jacket for someone who is more stylish than I am. It has that too-small feel of many jackets in fashion right now.

Spring weight natural linen jacket. Unlined. Washes well, light ironing needed. I ordered one size larger to fit over sweaters, works well. Linen has slubs and imperfections. Not dressy! Goes great with jeans.

I normally take a M and ordered an L intending to wear this as a spring jacket, over sweaters. Good call! This is great with jeans. Is a natural linen, with slubs and imperfections. It is unlined. It washes well, just needs a light pressing to be wearable. This is not dressy linen, strictly casual. The outside pockets are in an odd position, hard or impossible to tuck your hands in there.

I love BW clothes and have purchased several items from this list. This is the only one I haven't adored. The linen is so heavy it feel like canvas and the weight made it feel almost like a winter jacket. Like all BW clothes, it has beautiful workmanship and there is decorative stitching that is so lovely it broke my heart to feel uncomfortable wearing it. I also want my clothes to be so classic they will be in style until they wear out. The shape of a collar is always risky because what is in style when we buy it can disconcertingly look all wrong in a couple of years. This jacket, especially with its weight, would have been better designed with a mandarin collar, ensuring its stylishness for decades (which is how long it is likely to last). If you're young enough to keep this for 20 years after the collar goes out of style and can wait for it to come back into style, don't mind the weight and somewhat scratchiness of it, go for it. It will be recognized as an "up market" jacket by anyone with any fashion sense.
