This jacket is just what I needed. After summiting Mt. Marcy last September on a rainy, 80 mile an hour wind on the summit, I was soaked and miserable for the trek out. Since than I have been looking for a water and wind proof shell. I jumped at this jacket for [$] and I am very happy. Light enough for wet summer weather and with my Columbia fleece as a base I am good to go through the winter and looks great to wear out every day. I don't want to be wet again!at 6-3 with long arms sleeves are long enough!

Jacket is nice for repelling rain in fairly warm conditions or combined with a fleece liner. Water does not stick to it, so I have not had the soak through effect of heavy rain can have on some jackets. I would only use this jacket by itself above 50 degrees, combining with Fleece down to about 40 degrees. Very neat fabric.

This jacket really has a nice quality feel. Plenty of room to layer underneath when it gets cool, but doesn't look oversized when worn by itself. No pit zips, but it seems the fabric is breathable on it's own. At first I was surprised that the front zipper wasn't sealed like the others, but the storm flap covers it nicely. Turns out I like this better, since sealed zippers tend to be stiff. I would have preferred to have the inside collar material waterproof, since it will soak up water if you don't have it fully zipped.
