I found one major flaw that prevents this bib from being waterproof: very poor idea to put the two pockets near the waistline especially if the pockets are not sealed and have no zippers to keep the water out. If it rains hard with windy conditions you will get drenched by water thru the pockets that will run down your legs. Very poor design. For light rain or snow this bib will work fine.

Great after first use- need further use before I can rate the durability. The reflective chest patch draws attention away from my gut.

I've seen other reviews complaining that these bibs are too lightweight to be used for skiing... duh, they're not ski pants! They're the best, most comfortable fowl weather bibs I've ever had for boating. Look at the Bluestorm website, that's what they're made for. They're wind and waterproof, multi-layered and breathable so they don't feel clammy. They feel fine next to your skin if you are wearing shorts under them but leave plenty of room to layer in colder weather. I was on the bow of my boat when my bonehead friend stuffed it into a wave and practically submerged me and I came out dry. This is a great product. I also have to mention how the front zipper works from both ends, extremely convenient when nature calls.
