I have owned and used a Bluestorm Latitude 33 for 2 years and love the way it fits, protects and breathes. I saaw this one on sale and know that as my 33 has stayed new looking, it will not for too long, so I am ready with the slightly warmer backup. Germany has been very mild this winter, but next year?...

This coat does a great job of keeping me dry and comfortable during storms on the Chesapeake in 3 seasons. It breaths well and is designed for the mid-Atlantic latitude as the name suggests. I can us it spring, summer or fall, knowing I may need to pair it with some sleeves on colder days. It fits true to size and is very comfortable. The coat is surprisingly light.
The Nov 09 issue of Practical Sailor rated these Excellent across the board except for warmth - which is by design.

This jacket is not for winter unless you have lots of warm layers underneath. It had an awkward fit, it was really top-heavy with a giant hood and too much material around the neck area. The zippers were hard to open. It appears that this jacket was designed to be 100% waterproof with no concern for any other feature, comfort, fit, or warmth.
