Bogner Hilary-1 Jacket - Cotton (For Women)

I've had my eye on the Hilary-1 Jacket for a long time, but I hesitated to order it as it was not available in a size 12. Most of my Bogner jackets are a size 12, but in this style the size 10 is perfect in every way. I'm so glad I took a chance and ordered it. This is a Gorgeous jacket, especially the back of the jacket which has a western, rancher's style look to it with the impeccable leather seams and stitching. At the site, they really should show the back view of the jacket and the beautiful soft leather patches on the sleeves. The cotton canvas fabric has a wonderful sheen and is perfect with the saddle leather trim. I've worn it with dark navy denim wide cuffed jeans, with casual lightweight cotton pants, with a leather skirt and it can be dressed up or down with high heels or boots and the right blouse and accessories. When it comes to jackets, Bogner is so amazing in the attention to details, in fabric and unique designs even the beautiful lining inside the jackets.

Beautifully detailed, with lots of exterior seams, bound leather seams, leather trim, elbow patches, neck tab/snaps, etc. The back 'skirt' has vertical reversed bound seams - a snazzy touch. Fabric is top notch, similar to a light canvas, but pliant. True cream color. This jacket works in an office with a print skirt, over a blouse with nice pants, or on the casual side with dark jeans. Perfect for nicer social outings, museums, and travel in spring/fall. Well worth the price!

I ordered this to wear to the office over pants or a skirt. It is just as elegant as the picture -- beautifully made and designed. But the fabric color is very light and it is a canvas with leather trim. In NYC it is likely to get dirty quickly and it is not clear how the leather trim would fare at the cleaners.
