This is a pretty cool unique knife. At first glance I really liked it. But, the thought ran through my head if I'd ever use it in the field as it was intended. The cut out in the blade gives you a variety of handholds so you can do some precision work. The handle has finger contours that will only fit a child. Would of been better to keep the handle straight without the grooves. I had to sharpen

When I got this knife, I was somewhat bummed about the small size. It just looked bigger in the picture. With that said, the size is good because it's not bulky, and despite it being small the blade curve gives you a good bit of sweeping action. Quality seems very well made, although it was not sharp enough to skin a deer or hog out of the box. At least mine wasn't.

Needed a skinning knife for deer hunting. This seems to be a solid knife w/good steel and I like the moderate size to keep my pack weight managable. The handle is a nice looking wood but a bit short for long hands.
