Reviewed by Picking gifts for the wife... from Pennsylvania on Sunday, April 07, 2013These are exactly what you'd expect to get when you pay less for an entire knife set with block than you would pay for one "real" chef-quality German steel knife. So they are just O.K. The blades are thin, light, and narrow. For a young family, or an inexperienced amateur chef, they are good sharp knives and the block is very handy and well balanced for counter storage and accessability. They work O.K, but they are not German Boker quality - not even close. They are, as is plainly stated, a light Chinese knock off made for Boker, to be sold at discount stores. If you expecting high end quality at this price, you will be disappointed. They are not gift-worthy or impressive in any way. Good enough for a bachelor or college student, but not for the lady of the house.

Reviewed by unknown from unknown on Wednesday, April 03, 2013I gave this set three stars. I did so due to the fact that I have not had them long enough to justify a higher rating. The overall construction seems to be up to par so far. I have only used two of the knives so far, but they performed well, and were up to the task presented with-cutting my food! The stand is a nice addition, and seems fairly well put together.
