5.0 out of 5 stars. Sturdy, Elegant Beer Glasses at a Bargain Price
Reviewed by Salty from Hamburg, New York on Saturday, February 28, 2015
These are by no means fine crystal, but they are very nice, sturdy beer glasses. I like the way the squat stem and base are heavily weighted to keep these rather tall cylinders stable and anchored; if you manage to tip one of these over, it's probably time for the bartender to cut you off.

They're probably better suited as ale or heavier beer glasses than as a Pilsener goblet or light beer flute. Fill them with an IPA or red ale, and you'll feel like you're in an Irish pub.

As usual, STP had these on sale for a ridiculously low price. I was surprised that they arrived intact, as the bubble wrap was a bit skimpy, and the Italian crate they came in was hard cardboard with zero give in it.

The glass is clear and free of any waves or imperfections, and the only place where a mold line is very faintly evident is in the top of the base. In short, these look far nicer that garden variety beer glasses, and, at STP's crazy low price, you won't weep if one gets dropped and broken.

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Should have paid attention to Broken Glass comments

Nice glasses, but two of six had chipped bases. I am sending them back, at cost to me. Also, did not see a no shipping cost option for an exchange. It should not cost the buyer when the product is defective!
  • 1.0 out of 5 stars. Broken

The box arrived with 6/6 broken glasses. The lack of bubble wrap around the glasses could not withstand the shipping. So, I can't really say if the glasses were good or not. I returned them but have heard nothing from Sierra Trading.

While STP packs these glasses in bubble wrap to ship out, the original shipper was oblivious to the contents. It took me 2 shipments to get the 6 unbroken glasses I needed to make a set for a gift. While they look nice, I doubt that they will last long without chipping or cracking. Hope I'm wrong.
