The quality and fit are wonderful for me. I did worry that the edge of the toe box might be right at my bunion and hurt. But I was pleasantly surprised that it is not an issue. For one thing, the toe box is reasonably generous, but more than that, the leather is soft and accommodating. I put them on for the first time and wore them most of one day. They were comfortable immediately and remained so until I took them off at the end of the day. I am thrilled. Oh, and it might help to know that I have a narrow heel and a slightly wider upper foot and a high arch. I can't technically wear wide width shoes because the rest of the shoe is to wide. But I find that these and other European shoes fit me well.

Had to return them. I was really disappointed too, because the shape of the toe piece was great.

Very unflattering on one's feet. Too bad, they could have been a staple in my wardrobe.

The shape of the shoes looked like they would work with my square toes. The toe bed is fine.The footbed does not really go with my foot and I feel like my heels are angled in. I will try some heel insoles to see if that helps. They are cute for casual flats.
