Just what I needed. I hate buying boots through mail order because I want to try them on before buying, but these proved to be fantastic boots. Fit is great, not large or small, Have been in the snow and ice and have kept my feet warm. The only reason I am deducting any points at all is due to the finish not being consistent all across the boot, so they get a deduction on outside finish work, but since these will be used in some harsh conditions and the finish is not so important to me that it will not stop me from buying these boots again.

I am 180lb, 6 feet, 9 1/2 foot regular (or D width) these boots fit perfect. I wanted a boot that would handle a Boston winter walk from North Station to Fort Point (2 miles) and look good in the office. Born makes very comfortable/durable shoes. I have a pair 10 years old and those have held up awesome so I hope these will too. I purchased the suede water proof agent from Nikwax and slathered the boots. Big storm in Boston first of the year and these boots handled snow, slush, and cold, just perfect. Only little quibble is I wish the heal counter and toe box was beefier. I like the orange stitching adds just the right level of urban hip. These are not mountain hiking boots but for urban hikes they fit the bill.

These boots are a lightweight version of the hiking boot. Don't care for the (bright) orange stitching so died black. One of the eyelets popped out the third time I wore them so had to fix that too. Otherwise a nice boot.

These boots were great from the moment I put them on my feet. Feel good, look good. Because of the laces system it is slightly problematic to get the laces tight all the way up without pulling out some slack along the way. Minor problem. Overall I am completely satisfied with these boots. I am going to make sure I waterproof them well so I can venture out into the snow. (These boots are for everyday wear and not outdoor adventures like hiking.)
