“Surprisingly versatile boot.”

“BUILD: The zipper opening does not go all the way to the top; there is a solid top band that is nicely finished with a 'V' at the back for comfort. I find that the solid top actually makes it tidier and easier getting these on and off. The boots are very soft and light weight, the 'body' of the boot is slightly padded which acts to create and maintain shape for the boot without adding visible bulk. There is a combination of fine leather and man-made material in the lining. These were immediately comfortable with no 'break-in' required. SUPPORT: I am in my 40s and have overly sensitive and tender feet. I have high arches and Morton's toe (second toe is longer than the big toe) so the balls of my feet hurt -- alot -- quite quickly if I am wearing footwear with light or no support. My first impression was that I would think twice about wearing these for a long walk or if I was going to be standing on my feet all day, as I don't feel much in the way of support... yet I haven't experienced any foot ache or tender spots when I take them off like I do with most other shoes I wear so I suspect their support is deceptively discrete. STYLE: These versatile boots offer excellent value, they are equally sophisticated and casually elegant -- suitable for dressing up or down. When I am kicking about the house in my sweats and have to run out quickly, I just tuck my pants into these and toss on a coat -- instantly I am transformed to look well turned out. I had not worn tall boots previously, it wasn't a style I thought would suit me but I find that I am grabbing these quite often now.”
