Born Situla Loafers (For Women)

These shoes are very cute. I was unsure about the fit when I got them, but just thought they needed to be worn in, so I wore them. By the end of the day my feet were aching. The leather near the right ball of the foot was much softer then any other part of the shoe and was giving way, causing my foot to move around. The arch support felt like a rock under my foot! Also, on the right heel of the shoe, the leather was scratching off. I wish I would have returned them for more comfortable shoes.

I always keep a pair of black loafers with a small heel- they are perfect for work and for casual wear, easy to wear and comfortable. Of the 25 or so such loafers I have had over the years, these may be my favorite ever. They are really flattering to feet and a variety of outfits- they are classic in style, but at the same time have character to distinguish them. They are also amazingly comfortable. The only con is that the buckle does irritate my foot a bit- I figure that will wear in or I can put a mole skin under the buckle. Otherwise, great shoes and very well-worth the price.

I have so many pairs of shoes that I haven't worn these much. I wore them to work and love how classically elegant they look, how pretty and business-like I feel in them, how they 'chic up' my outfit. I have 2 other pairs of Born shoes: red high-heeled boots and bronze flats. I am a convert to Born. Born goes down in my Shoe Hall of Fame. So rarely does a shoe brand deliver on so many levels: detailed tooling, fine quality leather, unusual color palette, durable, long-lived, fits the bill for a demanding 'shoe-bie'. No, I'm not a paid endorser.:)Wishes: that they were a little less expensive and had tiny apertures like %xx shoes do, so your feet get air and ya don't wind up with a case of the mild foot stinkies. Or that could be all the walking I do in my workday. I have tired arches from having gained weight, walking/hiking, and having the tissue of my soles wear away, thanks to age and genetics. So Born's arch support is a god-send to me. These Situla Loafers nicely round out a shoe wardrobe that is full of 4-5" heels, tight fits and drama. How we women suffer for our shoes - but not for our Borns! Hope you enjoy the heck out of your Borns as much as I do!! These elegant loafers are best paired with trousers and skirts.

I have many pairs of Born shoes, but these are downright uncomfortable. I keep trying to break them in, but I don't think my feet can withstand the discomfort!

Always great Born comfort and durability. I wear them with longer skirts and not too dressy pants for work. I walk a lot in my job and they are very comfortable. I really like the shoes!

I've gotten attached to the Mary Jane look, but could never find a COMFORTABLE dress shoe. This shoe could go to an office, a casual party and even shopping and elsewhere. It is well made and has a certain polished look to it. The slight arch support is not seen in many shoes. Please consider also doing in a 1 1/2 inch heel. I have purchased two pair and am getting another two pair. I have many pair of sandals, but now finally have some comfortable dress shoes that I can wear in the fall/winter. Thank you.

These were bought to replace some uncomfortable and somewhat boring high-heel Mary Janes. These are really cute and very comfortable. My foot size is on the borderline, so I ordered up, and had to return them for the next size smaller. They are wide enough for my rather wide toe area. The heels are high enough to look professional but low enough to walk a lot. Great shoes!

I wanted style and comfort in a lower heeled shoe and that's what I got.
