    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    These have the same great support I expect from a Born shoe, but they're uncomfortable above the toes. With the way the leather is attached to the plastic, it creates a seam in an odd place that rubs my toes the wrong way. Still, I like the look of them and I imagine I'll get used to this minor discomfort.
