For what it is, this bota bag is excellent. It's encased in leather, which makes it a bit heavier than just going with a bladder system. You'll also have to maintain the leather every once in a while. However, if you soak the leather in water, it keeps the contents cooler for a bit longer. You can remove the bladder for cleaning or freezing. We bought this to compliment a costume and it suits its role perfectly. It provides a ready source of cool water on a hot day while wearing a heavy woolen costume.

I remember these from hippie days. In this new era of "bottle your own", they're a reincarnation of the best design for an on-the-go water bottle. The bottle is very lightweight and it's a great fit - whether under your arm or jammed into a purse/briefcase.

It's very durable and looks cool too.

This is a delightful piece of gear, and looks great hanging from the shoulder.

Use to carry water with me while on the trapline.

basically a plastice bottle with a piece of leather wrapped around it. It only holds 28 oz., not 32 as listed.

It's perfect for those hot days in armor.

If my bota is representative of all I would not recommend this product. It has a slow leak when turned upside down.
