I use this product while backpacking, just fill the bottle in the nearest stream or pond! It was the prefered filter on the trip. Everyone else wanted me to squeeze the water from my bottle into theirs...no Iodine tast like the Hiker Pro filter. I also use it for drinking waster at home because my city water is disgusting. When traveling I take it along so I don't have to buy bottled water. Only one problem, I dropped it and the filter broke...where do I buy replacement filers?

I love these things. I got a couple to try it and now I have 6. I drink and sweat a tremendous amount when I hike. I cannot carry any more water so this bottle is indispensible. I use it to fill from the smallest trickles of water and it works great. You have to squeeze it to get decent flow and you may have trouble getting the last bit from the bottle, but being able to fill frequently is key to me. I love the ease to fill it and then have good clear water right away. The bottle has held up to hard squeezing now for 6 long hikes (10+ miles) and I use it as my primary water source. The latest bottles I received were better designed to get the last drops of water and I will be using this design today. I got one for everyone in the family.

We now have 2 of these water purification bottles in our emergency evacuation bag. Although we are prepared to carry bottled water in the event of a hurricane/wildfire emergency evacuation, these bottles give us extra peace of mind to assure we can always have enough water. Our evacuation bag has to contain enough for 2 adult people & 3 large dogs. Two of these are perfect! Thankfully we've not needed to use them to date.

I have limmited room in my playboat for water storage. This allows me to always have water when I want it. I can also leave it in my truck empty and dont have to worry about forgeting to fill it!

Went backpacking and it was perfect to drink from and fill my other bottles. There was no bad taste. It's lightweight. Two of us used these bottles on that trip and we were happy we made the purchase. Can't beat the price!

Not happy with it - and you have to buy filters every six months.

I bought two of these for my fiance and I to use backpacking. I was worried about all of the negative comments, but we both love them and they don't seem to leak and it's not hard to get water out. It will be perfect for what we want. And with paying for the wedding, our honeymoon, school, insurance and all the other jazz that goes along with being married, it is a great price. We are too cheap to buy most things, and we don't want poo (cant use the c word). This water-bottle is the perfect solution. Not poo and not expensive. We are excited to use them this summer!

Cool design, nice size, bottle is light and easy to slip in a pack or webbing pouch. Filter works great, a little hard to get flowing. I could not pass water thru mine at all until i worked a toothpick into the sip nozzle, then it flows pretty good without much leaking. BOTTOM LINE: you can hardly buy a water bottle this cheap at all, not to mention one that could come in real handy when water sources are few and far between. DEF worth having, carry water in it, and if you need it, glad you paid the small price.

This is a great bottle for carrying on the river while fishing. No more hot water from a carried water supply. I just dip in the stream and have have cool fresh water to drink.

Only used this once, but no initial problems. Don't have to squeeze that hard to get water, but you pretty much need two hands. I imagine that the filter could get clogged quickly if you used murky water, so remember the coffee filters. really neat design, and for price/size/weight, a great way to get clean water in the backcountry. Now I just hope that it cleans out the baddies as advertised
