But the mittens are very nicely made with lots of nice details to snug them up to keep out the snow.

These look great for that. The only thing that was difficult was sizing. It is based on age not a measurement. With help from STP's top notch staff we concluded a size M would work. It fit the bill.

It's only september so we haven't field tested them yet. I was excited to see multiple kid sizes availible. In the past I had a hard time finding something for my older daughter, because the child size was too small and the adult small was too big. I ordered her larges and they are perfect! Just enough room to (hopefully) get 2 years out of them, but not so big that she can't function in the snow.
