Boulder Gear Placid Ski Jacket - Insulated (For Men)

There are a few design flaws that make this jacket annoying. First of all, the velcro on the sleeves is this kind of mini-teeth velcro which doesn't work as well. If I try to keep the sleeves open with only the end of the velcro attached (if I am not trying to block wind getting into my sleeves) then it doesn't stay, flapping around, and will catch fabric by accident. Second, the way to adjust the hood size is a pain making it annoying to adjust for helmet and non-helmet use. I also wish there were more pockets. One day it was raining on the slopes and I got soaking wet. It isn't waterproof enough. Finally, it isn't as warm as I was expecting. I need to wear other layers with it in cold weather or I will freeze. There are warmer jackets with more insulation. In conclusion, it is a jacket that works for snowboarding where your body gets hot but if you try to wear it every day for general use you will get annoyed because of the problems I just mentioned. It is ok just for downhill sports.

For Snowboarding and Walking to School

Looks great and very warm. Sleeves a bit long for me but I've got short arms and that's fine cause they can overlap my gloves. Plan to use for snowboarding and think it will do great.

The fit and material were not satisfactory.

Had to shorten sleeves. Haven't worn it yet, but plan to on upcoming cruise to Antarctica. Great looking quality jacket.

Not worn yet due to warm temps, plan to use this winter.

I bought as a cheap & durable ski jacket & was blown away with the quality and features, I have reccomended it to friends & family - but not the same color, I want to remain unique in orange!

I was worried it might not fit but it fits perfectly! It looks cool, has lots of pockets, it is well designed with lots of thought! I havent used it on the mountain yet as it is summer but I am excited for the snow to come!!!!

Plan to ski Mount Buller annually and this ski jacket will satisfy all my requirements.

I wanted a super warm jacket for extreme temps. This is the jacket....super toasty & stylish. Great bargin.
