Reviewed by MangoTango from Indiana on Friday, December 21, 2012My daughter was complaining that her winter ski jacket was too "stiff" to use at recess at school and to go out in. We decided a down jacket would keep her warmer with less bulk and we were right. She has worn in everyday since she got it including some days there was a light rain and the coats coating let the water bead right off. Seems like it is well made as well with a sturdy zipper.

She even gave the thickness the benefit of the doubt and wore it outside for a few minutes as a test. Epic fail, we promptly returned it. I expected a warm coat, this was not.

Also the hood fits over hats and stays up. Compares to the Patagonia down jackets. It can take a beating also. Only wish it came with zip pits but so far the girls say they are fine with out them. Over all very impressed and it is very well made product! Very impressed with the Boulder Gear line. A+ all the way. Thank You Sierra Trading Post!
