Verified Buyer Reviewed by Fractals rule! from Nevada on Thursday, December 4, 2014The best thing about this particular bag is that it matches my other Bric’s luggage pieces–which I love—so , it follows, that the materials and workmanship are top notch and it looks great!
I also like the inconspicuous strap that fits over the extended handle of any rolling luggage for stacking.
I use packing cubes for everything so I find the minimalist design of this bag attractive—sometimes less is more.
Bric’s is a high end Italian luggage manufacturer with a $200 retail price point for this bag. Why no strap pad?
This was a mystery so I went to their website—they have many duffel bags up to almost $1,000 for a 22" leather one--nice! (Pronto is at the low end of their market.). Guess what?? None of them have a strap pad...not one....even the Slim Attache Case comes with a strap pad...but not a single duffel.
Since I have two Bric's rolling duffels that came with strap pads, I’ve borrowed a pad from the 26” one and put it on this bag, so I get to keep it.
There are upgrade strap pads on the market that are not that expensive (even for leather) The leather accents on the duffel are all black.
By the way the strap pad on the 26" Rolling Duffel Bag (the largest duffel in this line) in the exact same pad as the Slim Attache Case (the smallest piece in this line)
I have a sneaking suspicion that Bric's isn't aiming it's products or it's marketing towards people like me who pack their duffel bag to the brim, hang it on their shoulder and then drag it around all over the US.
I'm just glad I have the opportunity to get this great looking, superb quality stuff st a pricepoint at which I can afford to go get a black leather strap pad ( I'm thinkin beefier for that 26" rolling piece) and still pay my bills! Thanks STP for making it possible from the comfort of my couch!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Northwoods Girl from Wisconsin on Wednesday, July 9, 2014Very lightweight and a perfect carry-on for busy travelers. I like the simplicity and elegance of Bric's designs. The materials seem like they are great quality. I am hoping this product will be a great addition to my travel must-have's. I love the brown with black trim.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Jared L. from New York on Tuesday, June 3, 2014Bought this duffel to replace another duffel that was recently destroyed. It is a big larger than my last bag, though when I realized how light it was, I never looked back! Extremely sturdy for such a light bag -- and the inside zipper compartment is an added bonus. My last bag didn't have any extra pockets, and I found myself constantly digging through luggage to find my keys!
Reviewed by terri from Michigan on Saturday, December 28, 2013Purchased this duffel bag as a companion to the Bric's 20" Trolley Spinner Luggage. It first I thought that a 22" would be too big, but have found that by nature of the material it is a great size and can be used as a sole carry-on for over night luggage or a companion set. The nylon material appears to be good quality, it is lined. The nylon strap could be improved for caring purposes if it have a padded part for over the shoulder. Only just purchased the set so like it so far. It appears to have been made in China which is disappointing, since it is marketed as Italian.
Reviewed by Martin from Boston on Tuesday, December 3, 2013After years of using garment bags, I have started to bundle pack to reduce wrinkling. Because of this, I was looking for more of a open, large compartment carry-on. I wanted a bag with the strap to attach it to the handle of a wheeled bag to use it with my laptop case which was a lot harder than expected. This bag fit the bill.
- Has the wheeled bag holding strap
- Very lightweight
- Professional looking for a duffel/good looking bag
- Seems very well made
Pro or Con Depending:
- Seems small for something described as 22". No one will question its carry-on size, but if you are looking for maximum carry on volume, look elsewhere
- It is an unstructured bag- it consists only of the outer layer and a thin lining. When empty it is floppy. If you are looking for somthing to put a laptop in or protect somthing fragile this is not for you. It does make it feather light, and the material, though thin, seems tough, and the stiching is top notch.
- Limited pockets and item specific storage. It has a main compartment and one unpadded pocket. Not a problem for what I was looking for.
- Handle snap closure is not comfortable. The made it quite narrow.
- Strap is a bit basic.- woven nylon with no pad. Wouldn't want this packed heavy - it will cut in to your shoulder. I had an extra pad available which I added. Much bette now
