This is a well-designed suitcase and seems durable, tho, I have not yet traveled with it. I needed a larger hardside case as my old Samsonite hardside, which, btw, is in perfect condition after 12 years, needed an update to spinner wheels from the old style in-line-skate wheels. I was prudent and went to the attic to check out the dimensions of my old case, which is 28", to be sure I was ordering the right size case. The height dimension listed on Sierra's specs said 27" so I thought just one inch less from what I need would be acceptable. I was shocked upon receipt of the suitcase to find the actual case size is 22" high NOT 27"! The 27" includes the high spinner wheels and top protruding handle. I am sorely disappointed with the size and am considering returning it because I wanted a very large suitcase for a future trip to Europe. The price was very good for such a quality item so I am very conflicted about the action I need to take at this point.

This italian design is very attractive and commands attention. Although the company is Italian, this item is actually made in China (NOT ITALY!!!). There is a label inside the case that identifies it as Made in China. This case is surprisingly multi-functional, incorporating features of a rolling briefcase and an over-nighter. The file section is removable--it is secured on the inside with velcro. The spinner wheels are the best I have ever seen, and the case is already fitted with a TSA approved lock. It comes with a black fabric, fitted dust-cover. The whole works is as light as a feather--if you are looking forvery stylish, extremely light-weight luggage, this is definitely it!
