I've been buying Bridgedale socks for 15 years now exclusively, due their excellent comfort, performance, and durability, and these are on par with one exception. The tops are not closely knitted, which leads to premature fraying. Otherwise, these are basic, very well made, no frills knee socks that are great for a variety of cold weather activities.

My daughter said that her family needed warm sox for winter, so when I visited them recently, I took lots of sox, all purchased from STP. Most of them were made by Bridgedale, in a bunch of different colors, sizes, and designs. They were delighted with the fit, said they were warm, and loved the look.

very, very comfortable socks > I assume the merino (?) wool makes the feel of these stockings silky soft, yet the socks cling very comfortably to your feet. The look of these is also noteworthy, very in look. Would purchse again.

I've only worn/washed these a few times, and while they stretch out a bit too much when taking boots on/off multiple times in the day, I haven't noticed any shrinkage other than returning to their original form. They're pretty warm and not too thick for skiing.

Very warm cushioned and supportive. Fit tightly on calves almost like compression socks which I prefer for activities but might be uncomfortable for some. No problems with moisture or cold feet so far. Mostly used for snowshoeing this far
