I bought these socks as a gift for a friend who has feet problems. They are recommended ("coolmax") in a book I read that encourages walking. She reported how comfortable they are.... I probably wouldn't have bought them at their regular price but, on a whim, I checked to see if Sierra Trading Post had any. They were a steal.

If you have full calves, these socks are a good choice as they do not pinch your leg. They may be on the loose side for those with skinny legs. The foot is also not as snug and slim a fit as their other socks although they are not baggy by any means. I bought them to keep my feet warm in winter, but now we are having a heat wave so I have only worn them a couple of times.

These are the softest wool socks I've ever had. I am very sensitive to wool, and these are the only wool socks I've ever tried that I thought were so soft you couldn't tell they were wool at all. And the color and flower is very pretty.
