    I live in snow country and these keep my feet warm all day long. I wear "ski" socks regularly and these are super comfy. They stay up instead of dropping down after awhile. They also are good "cushions" for my feet in everyday boots or casual shoes. You can't beat the price either. I like buying ski socks from Sierra Trading Post.

    Since the fabric was so thin, these were less comfortable in my ski boots. My boots rubbed my feet and ankles in places I hadn't noticed with more cushy ski socks. If your boots are comfy and you want a lightweight sock, these might work. They have a cool looking design.

    I wear an 8 to 8.5 shoe and ordered the size 8.5 to xxx. Perfect fit. I have odered a size smaller in other bridgedale socks and they are a bit tight. These socks are marked "midweight", but i would consider them lightweight. they have a tiny bit of padding under the forefoot and a bit in the shin. I expected more, but they are really nice summer socks to wear under my riding boots.

    These are more like lightweight than midweight, which is what I wanted anyway. Classic Bridgedale construction so it won't slip off your foot. I use them in ice hockey skates and for me they'd be a bit too thin for long backpacking trips.
