    Longing for the days of a heavyweight wool and nylon outer sock? Your search ends here. Combined with a thin liner, blister-causing friction is a thing of the past. However, because these are seconds, you may need to add a few stitches to the sock tops which try to unravel after a couple of washings. The performance of the sock makes the effort worth it.

    These socks are thick, cushiony and have terry cloth loops that make them comfortable and very wickable. I cannot see why they are 2nds as they all seem to be sewn well. Being that I just bought them I cannot comment on how well they will hold up over time, but so far so good.

    Assumed these would be between light dress socks and heavy hiking socks; that's not the case - these are thick heavy-weight socks that cannot be worn with normally fitting shoes. They would be good hiking socks with backpacking boots, but I needed everyday socks rather than heavy winter hiking socks, so returned them.

    These socks looked nice to start, but they seem more like tube socks and aren't nearly as awesome as Lorpen or SmartWool. If you don't like your socks falling down, you should not get these. They're warm and comfy, and thick, but not the best design at all.
