“Good heavy-mid socks”

“I wear nothing but wool socks because my feet sweat a lot. I bought several pairs of these because I wanted some that come up high over my calves. These are exactly what I hoped they'd be, and I can't detect the blemish that makes them seconds. But they're for people who like pretty heavy socks --- perhaps, like me, who don't mind extra warmth if the socks are good at wicking moisture away from the feet. These would be very good for everyday use in freezing weather.”
