Bridgedale Merino Wool Trekking Socks (For Men)

These socks appear to be durable, used for mtn. biking about four times so far with great results. Love that they're a good weight (comfy), good height (good for use under knee/shin guards) and best of all they're BLACK (hard to find good black socks), wish I would've purchased more pairs...

I've been buying Bridgedale socks for several years. These are the only socks I wear. They are comfortable during all four seasons. Not only are they comfortable, but they last no matter how hard I am on them. I bought my first pair over seven years ago and they are still going strong. I've never had a pair of socks I could say that about. They are extremely comfortable, sharp looking, and withstand a LOT of walking on all types of terrain.

Great hiking socks.

I bought these as a gift for my hubby. He's worn only Bridgedale socks on a daily basis since he was first introduced to them several years ago. If he's working, hiking, canyoneering, or even just hanging out, those are his socks of choice. He's even gotten me wearing the women's socks. They are comfortable and super durable. It takes over a year of constant use before these socks start showing any wear.

I have had Bridgdale Trekking socks in the past and they have been among my favorites. The ones I received were much too inferior in quality to keep...too many defects to be acceptable. I inspected them visually but did not need to try them on to make this determination.

Lately I have been getting quite a few blisters and these socks were recommended to me from a fellow Mountaineers member and so far they have livd up to his promise. I use these socks with silk liners and so far it is the difference between night and day compared to my old (REI brand) socks. They fit snug on my feet, keep them cool, and slippage is minimized. Two things keep these from getting a 5 star rating. First, they are rather tall but don't stay up (they fall and bunch a bit at the top of my boots) and I personally find that annoying. Second, I have not had them long enough to testify as to their durability.

I used these socks backpacking and there was still a substantial amount of snow in the high country and these socks performed well and kept my feet warm and comfortable.

The best socks I've found in years

Bought these for general use as well as hiking, as I cover a lot of mileage checking nets at a bird banding station. Very comfy, great temperature control and great value. I always use Bridgedale socks, they haven't let me down yet.
