The catalog lists these as 2nds -- I found one small loop of thread out of place on both pairs of socks -- on top of the instep. Barely noticable looking at the socks and no loss of comfort or fit once inside a hiking boot.

These are very comfortable, stay dry when the rest of me is dripping in sweat, and kept my feet odor-free after long days of hiking in leather mid-top boots. I could not find any imperfections in mine, and they fit well.

Like most socks I have worn, these are best worn inside out so the seams don't rub on the skin.
