I wanted to get him an all-around decent sock for a good price, and it looks like I succeeded! He wore them to class with regular shoes (Vans), and kept them on for a hike we went on where he wore his boots. He loved their feel, and the sizing seemed just right. He mentioned how they kept his feet warm, but not suffocated; they are breathable. He hasn't worn them enough to know if they get easily worn down. In general, I'd say a good sock for the price!

I probably should have gotten the large. My feet are USA 9, which is on the cusp. The stitching gave out on my right great toe. It was not the stitching thread that tore, but it seemed as if there was not enough material from the tip edge of the sock was caught by the sewing machine and the thread lost it's grip on the material.
