I love Bridgedale Socks, but I shouldn't have bought 2nds. The first time I wore these, I got a sore worn onto the top of my toe from a knot on the toe seam. Now I will have to see if I can whittle down that knot and then sand it down so it won't hurt. If not, I have wasted my money and will be disappointed.

I use these for walking, the gym, or mainly for wearing with my birkenstock's around the house. I like this brand because the ones I've had so far are very durable. These were a little thinner than I'd expected, but still work for my purposes.

This is the second time I have ordered this sock. I love them and am now looking for some that are a little longer for my husband. These socks wear like iron, wash beautifully, look really cool and perform like the description says. I wear them year round and absolutely love them. I ordered two colors. Definitely a go to sock.

I am a big fan of Bridgedale socks and these are the same fine quality as the others. They are pretty thin which was not what I was looking for. Some reviewers said that they were not thin which is why I purchased them but on a scale of thin, medium, thick, these are definitely thin. I was looking for medium and returned them.
Answer
The numerical sizing refers to US women's sizes.

Question
“I generally wear an 8, once in a great while I wear an 8 1/2. Do these run on the small side(in which case my dilemma is solved)or are they true to size?”

Answer
They will be able to stretch some so a M should be fine.

Question
“I need low socks for kayaking to protect my toes from sand and grit. I'm wondering how the wool component will be when wet. Even in warm weather, the water's cool and you DON'T wear cotton. Thanks.”
Answer
It will still wick the moisture away and will dry relatively quickly when laid out. As socks are not waterproof they will still get wet and so will your feet. If you want to wade in water and be completely dry I recommend neoprene.
