Briggs & Riley Transcend Duffel Bag - 30", Wheeled

This is a very well made piece of luggage. The wheels are large and solid, the zippers and fabric are strong. I like this brand because the handles extend further than most. I'm 6'4" and get frustrated when wheeled luggage clips my heels when I am pulling it. This duffel is not as wide as most, so it is easier to pack and to walk with. However, it is not as stable as wider duffles, so if you are on rough terrain it can spin out of control. Overall, I like the narrow, tall design because I can walk with by my side without worry that it will hit my heels. I have the green color, it is very very dark-- out of the sun, it looks almost black. Rock-solid zippers, side storage, and very strong velcro to tie the carry handles together. You can fit three of these in a Honda Civic trunk and still have some space left over. It's very solid (look at the weight) and should run a long time.

This is an excellent, large capacity bag which rolls easily and has extra pockets on either side for additional packing of shirts or other items. Interesting to note, B&R add stiffeners to separate clothing sections within the bag. The bag is relatively light (about 10lbs).

This is a great piece of luggage. If you are looking for a small, compact piece of luggage... this isn't your piece. If you are looking for a great piece of luggage with lots of space, an unmatched warranty, and one that will protect your belongings... you have found the right piece. B&R has an incredible warranty. Even if the airline tears your luggage up through abuse, B&R will repair your luggage. That is something that few companies offer.

I like the bag. It has useful storage compartments and is light for the size. We will see how the airlines do about keeping it looking good. You can carry enough for an extended stay.
