Briggs & Riley

I bought this bag primarily for my wife, since she will be travelling internationally for work regularly in the next couple years. I looked at a lot of brands and read a lot of reviews, and settled on the Briggs & Riley. I purchased the 24" and a carry-on at a luggage specialty store nearby, but the price on this one was incredible (less than 1/2 what I paid for the smaller version). It is a well-made and beautiful bag, and has a lifetime warranty that cannot be beat. The pockets are well thought-out, and the external handle allows for flat packing at the bottom of the suitcase. It is also lightweight and a good size to allow for ample storage without being over the weight limits. Overall we could not be more pleased with this. It is a huge improvement over our department store luggage (Atlantic) we replaced.

Built for the long run, hold a tremendous amount, easy to handle.

I'm actually not going to keep this bag, but that's because I'm a small person (5'1"), so this bag looks large on me. I think it would be great otherwise. Very lightweight and nice pockets/organization. I've been trying hard to find a vertical-style messenger bag, actually, but was giving up and thought I would give this a try. The other thing I really was looking for that this bag did not have was pockets for water bottles, but, it seems that usually it's more casual bags that have this feature.
