This is a great net to have strapped to my gear bag and bring along in a boat or on my back for the day. The only thing I would mention as being a downside is that there is no way to lock the net in the folded position. I can see why this might have been left out to allow quick access and sort of one handed "shake open" operation when dealing with a fish, but when I have it slung over my shoulder I would prefer it to not open up and bang the back of my legs while I'm wading around or hiking through brush.

I havent acutally used this net on fish yet due to drought and lack of water HOWEVER, I bought the net to aid in landing large carp with my flyrod. I net folds up very compact and is crazy light. it expands out to full size fast and it extends out far and easy. It will be a welcome addition to the regular carpin gear as well as when I surf fish in the ocean.

I haven't used this net yet, but it appears to be well designed and constructed, as one would expect from Brodin.
The net folds to approximately 3-inch diameter X 2 ft. long. Opening, closing, and adjusting handle length requires 2 hands, but these adjustments are easily done and could likely be accomplished with a rod in one hand. I bought this net to use where space is a consideration such as on my one-man pontoon or kayak. It should fit the bill.
