My physical therapist recommended these, (These are the 1st choice on their list.) I was skeptical because they look clunkier and bigger than all the new shoes out. I bought the men's because I always think manufactures make men's shoes more durable. I want to mention that I also have pretty narrow feet. These shoes I was told run a size small, I usually wear a men's size 8 or 8.5 (depending on the company) so I bought these in a 9. In any event they fit great and are not too wide. Also visually they do not look overly wide. These shoes are like walking on clouds, very comfortable and have good arch support.
