These shoes are great! I ran in the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 6 model of these shoes about 3 years ago when training for a marathon and loved them. However, I was disappointed with the updates they made to the GTS 7s. After running in a different shoe for 2 years, I decided to give the Brooks Adrenal... Read More

I have been wearing brooks adrenaline running shoes for years because of my pronation. They are the only running shoes I will wear anymore. When I need a new pair, I retire the old pair to be my work shoes (RN's run around a lot)

    • Answer Every year they release a "new and improved" version of the Adrenaline GTS. This is the model that came out in 2009. I, too, have "picky feet." I've tried other brands, but this is still my all-time favorite shoe. If she's used to the earlier models of GTS - these will be perfect. Excellent price -- Buy them!

    • Answer Joe||Go to the manufactures website and see what they say...but with my family I have found as long as they have the same or similar stability rating that I need...we can interchange the shoes within the brand, and honestly I usually keep at least two differnt models withing the product line and switch off. It keeps the shoes fresh, and my feet and legs working all the time. Good luck

    • Answer This is a great cushioned neutral running shoe. I have worn Brooks for a long time although I have never worn the 5 series.

  • Question “I am a forefoot striker. Does this shoe have adequate cushioning for my running?”

Asked on 5/19/2010 12:00:00 AM by heather from ma
    • Answer This is a running shoe built for the moderate over-pronator who requires a combination of cushioning and enhanced stability. It should work for you.
Answered on 5/19/2010 12:00:00 AM by Customer Care from Sierra Trading Post
    • Answer Heather,|I am primarily a midfoot striker on long runs, but when I do track or interval workouts where speed is more the focus, I am very much a forefoot striker, and I find these shoes to be supportive and appropriate for that. The shoes to me have just the right amount of cushion, but that again depends on personal preference, how far your're running, etc... I will say I have been very happy with the support these shoes provide, and I am currently on my 3rd pair.

    • Answer I would say this shoe lends to heal runners like me. The front has a fair amount, but the back has more.

    • Answer Picking a shoe depends heavily on what type of arch and step you have...high, normal, flat foot along with being an underpronator, neutral pronator, and an overpronator.|You may look at the following item: Item #96792.|Also please refer to our buying guide to learn more about shoe types: http://www.sierratradingpost.com/lp2/shoe-guide.html

    • Answer Brooks does carry a walking shoe, but I've never tried it. I do have to say that if you find a pair of shoes you like, stick with them! Once you know what works for you, it's easy to find the shoes at a discounted price at online retailers. You can also find a Brook retailer, try on a pair, and then surf around for the best price on the shoes.

  • Question “what is width B”

Asked on 3/23/2010 12:00:00 AM by DW from Atlanta, GA
    • Answer Width "B" is "narrow" width. "D" is normal or regular.
Answered on 3/23/2010 12:00:00 AM by Customer Care from Sierra Trading Post
    • Answer Width B is average width. A is a narrow foot, C (and sometimes I've seen D) is a wide foot. Unless you've had problems with the width of shoes bothering you in the past, you are most likely an average width of B.

    • Answer With most running shoes you want to order a half size up from your normal shoe size that you wear with dress shoes. You need extra room in shoes that you do activities in as your feet expand.
