The first time out with these shoes I encountered a much rougher trail than I anticipated, and also some unexpected slick spots. The traction of these shoes was incredible, as was the cushioning. I love these shoes!

I have tried a lot of trail shoes and this is my favourite. The newer Cascadia models are not nearly as comfortable in my opinion.

These shoes are great for my lumpy toes. I need a wide toe box and plenty of cushioning to accommodate my arthritic toes. I can't run on a paved trail so I need a shoe that's supportive of running on the grass. These shoes felt great right out of the box. The only con is the short thick laces that are clumsy to tie.
