Brooks Glycerin 5 Running Shoes - Cushion (For Men)

I live in these shoes. I walk, jog or run everywhere with them. I drink in them. I go to church in them. I go to work in them. Every other shoe I own in a back-up shoe to my running shoes. The Glycerin Series are the perfect shoe for my feet. Here's how I find the right shoe: 1) Go to a real running shoe store. 2) Have them size and fit me. 3) I buy the first pair from the store - because I am utilizing their expertise. 4) I buy the subsequent shoes from Sierra Trading Post because their prices are excellent (I do the price comparison - among trusted etailers - to keep them honest too).

I changed to the Brooks Glycerin after many years of the Asics Gel Nimbus. Asics changed the fit a year or so ago and I did not like the fit. A running store recommended the Glycerin and I have not been disappointed. Very comfortable and good wear.

I bought these for my teenaged son for fall sports conditioning. He wasn't too crazy about the "looks" at first, but after one running session, I haven't seen them off of his feet. He loves the support and cushioning.

Shoe appeared to be at least one full size too small. Since Sierra did not have a full size larger in this model, I upgraded to the Brooks Trance. I've worn previous Glycerins and found them to be very comfortable and long lasting.

These shoes have improved my running immensely - i went from running 5-6 kms with pain in my legs to regularlay running 10-12kms with minimal discomfort - i am stoked - just beware they are prob 1/2 a size to small and quite narrow - but this suits my foot

Have used Brooks for 10 + years of Marathon and Ultra Marathon and have held up very well. Drain well in wet conditions and displace mud in wet conditions on the trail.

I've bought several Brooks through Sierra. These have one design problem for me. The area of the toe box sole is so radically beveled that it feels as though my toes are extened beyond the supporting sole of the shoe. In short, I feel as though my toes are unsported. Other than that, a very nice shoe for my use.
