Reviewed by Yori from Israel on Monday, March 18, 2013I got them out of the box and loved them.
I put them on my feet and sent them back, because I have a wide foot (I wear 10W) and these are no way near that.
For someone with normal feet these are good news, as they can rely on a good fit.
I was hopeful as some makes are wider, but I guess with Brooks I can only wear W.
Very dissapointing - great shoe at an unbelievable price!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by MTtrailrunner from MT on Sunday, December 2, 2012Very light, kind of funky shoes. I use them a lot at the gym for working out and running on the treadmill. Haven't run outside in 'em but I'm sure they'd be fine. I don't really like low drop shoes, so am kind of happy to have a minimalist-like shoe yet a bit more 'traditional' drop. I have a surgical repaired achilles, and despite modern reports, low drop shoes did NOT help fix what ailed me in that regard. In fact, the culmination of my slow progression to minimal, low drop shoes got me a major issue with my other achilles, the one that hadn't had any problems before, so I now have two that routinely give me problems. I'm back to traditional drop shoes and I think they are improving..at least I'm running again anyway. These Green Silence have little to no support..definitely for the more efficient runners if you use them for any real mileage. Nice cushion, but not overly endowed there either. Their best attributes are a very light weight and really flexible..kind of like a running shoe and slipper had a baby. I don't quite put these up to the standard of Brooks' Pure line, which are a bit more sound of shoe. For full price these Green Silence wouldn't really be very tempting, but for what I got 'em for at STP, I'm happy with 'em and their great simple design, and they're getting a lot of gym time and wear about the house. Cheers!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Donna Rae from Minneapolis,MN on Friday, November 30, 2012I bought both the men's and ladie's version of these shoes. See my review of the ladie's shoe for a full report. Succinctly: very good price for an awesome shoe that seems as LIGHT as a sock. I feel as light as a "piece of toast" when I run in these magic shoes. I bought 3 pairs.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Telesticks from Boise, ID on Thursday, November 29, 2012These shoes are comfortable and incredably light. As to durability, I'm afraid the jury is still out but so far they have been a pleasure to run in. I would certainly buy another pair.
